I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Data Analytics at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. I received my Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Utah and my B.Sc. from Rhodes College.
Background
Before joining Rhodes, I spent a year and a half as a research engineer at Astera Institute in Emeryville, CA, on the Obelisk team, working at the intersection of deep reinforcement learning and neuroscience toward brain-like AGI for naturalistic 3D tasks.
During my Ph.D. at the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, I worked with Shireen Elhabian on statistical shape modeling, medical image analysis, and deep learning methods for building compact anatomical models from images—including work integrated into the open-source ShapeWorks package.
